Regular Membership

Regular Membership in Citizens for Approval Voting is free and open to anyone who supports the goals of the organization.

Voting Membership

Voting Membership is open to any Regular Member who pays annual dues. The dues are:

• $50 per year for non-students;
• $20 per year for students.

The President of CAV can also grant membership to activists who perform substantial service for the organization and are unable to afford the membership dues do to financial hardship.

Only Voting Members are qualified to serve as Officers, on Committees, or on the Board of Directors. Voting Members get to vote on all matters brought before the CAV membership and enjoy other rights and privileges as detailed in the CAV Bylaws.

Email Forwarding

While supplies last, Voting members are entitled to one free email forwarder using the ApprovalVoting.org domain. You can then use yourname@ApprovalVoting.org as a working email address. This is a great way to help spread the word about Approval Voting!

Honorary Designations

Dues for multiple years can be paid in advance. Anyone who pays dues for 10 or more years in advance is additionally designated as a Sustaining Member.

Voting members who sign up now also earn the additional designation of Charter Member.
